My journey as both a foster parent and school professional has shown me just how powerful a safe, nurturing space can be for a child. I’ve seen firsthand how calming corners can help children self-regulate, process big emotions, and regain a sense of control — both in the classroom and at home. These quiet spaces don’t just support emotional regulation; they help children feel safer in their environment and more at peace in their own minds.

Calming Corners was born from this belief: that every child deserves a supportive space to decompress, reflect, and feel seen.
